The North Park Surgery Center, completed in November 2004, encompasses a
17,240-
square-foot ambulatory surgical center (North Park Surgery Center) and the 25,000-
square-foot imaging and medical office building (Omni Group Medical and
Diagnostics
Center). Within the Omni Group Medical and Diagnostic Center facility, the St. John
Health System has conveniently brought together the services of
physicians, radiology,
lab and physical therapy under one roof.
The North Park Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art, freestanding ambulatory surgery
center, which opened for its first surgery on November 23, 2004. Design features of
this
out-patient only facility include four operating rooms, two procedures suites, 16
recovery
beds, four semi-private child recovery rooms and 16 preparatory areas.
Other amenities
include patient-oriented perks, such as valet parking and a coffee
bar. Seven physician-
owners hold an 83% interest in the center, with the remaining ownership held by Alliance
Surgery, a nationwide management company.
All told, this 25-acre campus has been designed to accommodate a full spectrum
of medical
services in a park-like setting. The medical facilities provide the latest
laboratory and
imaging equipment available, and the medical office buildings,
surgery center, diagnostics
center and cancer treatment center are all interconnected via a high-speed voice, data and
fiber optics network built into the campus
infrastructure. A heliport provides for
emergency flight transportation.
